GALANG HARI VILLA/Bali, Indonesia/How to travel Bali in 2024/the worst hotel I have ever stayed

What a total nightmare! This has to be the worst travel experience I've ever had. They sneakily hid the fact that my booked accommodation was double-booked and shuffled me off to a place just three minutes away on a motorbike. And get this - they had the nerve to claim, "You've got a Suite room with a Balcony. You're special. We've got a way better room for you." Surprise, surprise – they didn't bother showing me the room I actually booked.

So, they guide me into this so-called 'special suite,' and it's a disaster. A bee and a lizard welcome me in the bathroom, the kitchen and living room look like they've seen better days, and the furniture is all over the place. I couldn't stand staying there for even a minute. The place they took me to was practically falling apart, and I've got videos and pics proving it. Some doors were trashed, filled with garbage – it's mind-boggling they'd send customers there.

To top it off, the public toilet in that building was a horror show. I can't even find the words to describe how dirty and messy it was. I don't blame the hotel staff who guided me there; they were just following orders. When I asked for the boss's number and talked to the owner, he finally admitted to the double-booking but had the nerve to suggest I cancel if I didn't like the room – seriously rude!

Of course, I canceled the reservation, but Booking.com only refunded half my payment. Talk about a major letdown. That's the crazy and upsetting story of what went down.

Galang Hari Villa

I booked this hotel for only 35 USD. I didn't expect luxury since it wasn't a high-end hotel. However, the way they treated me was completely unacceptable. I made my reservation two months in advance, meticulously preparing for my Bali trip with excitement and anticipation. It turned out to be a huge disappointment.

I didn’t like this painting.

The painting hanging on the wall gave off a seriously creepy vibe.

The furniture was noticeably aged, but it failed to evoke any authentic charm. It was far from the vintage-style furniture I had expected. The living room felt literally open-air. It seemed like it used to be a really nice space or hotel, perhaps. However, the way they treated me completely ruined the experience.

Lastly, I'd appreciate it if you could watch this video. It showcases the building where I was assigned the so-called 'Exceptional Suite Room.' Considering the circumstances of double-booking, would you still feel comfortable staying at this hotel? I value your thoughts on this. Thank you.
